On the chatrooms and channels of internet relay chat and usenet, the hats gathered. Some joined channels named simply after the date: 23-05-15. Others were called Remembrance. Still others were named more poetically, names like "F0r the fall3n". The thread names and channel names are a throwback to a bygone age, when typing in numbers and letters was still cool. They gathered there in their thousands. Hundreds of thousands. Packets of data whizzing through uncountable nameless nodes to centralise on a select few servers.

Jones awoke with a throbbing headache. She opened her eyes blearily and stared. A room blurred into focus. The walls were corrugated...something. A shipping container? No. She was in some shed or one of those pre-fab offices at construction sites. The pain made it hard to think. There was a light above her, painfully bright. It flickered from time to time. Her eyes smarted from looking at it so she looked away. Not that it helped, her headache seemed to pound in time with the flickering. Looking away just traded one discomfort for another. Her back ached, also. She was sitting up. How long had she be

Otherworldly strength flowed into Nilsson's limbs and he felt the links of the cuff strain and break. The chain links tinkled on the ground. He took advantage of the Constable's confusion and legged it, running down the side street. Nilsson started awake under an alien ceiling. He hadn't fallen asleep in this room! Then the memories of Muntaqim's sensory assault caught up with him and he was heaving, bile rising. He leaned over the side of the bed and retched. Nothing came out except for sour bile and strings of saliva. He reached over and thumbed the button for the nurse, who came in to mop it up.
"I'm sorry." "Don't worry about it. Here." She produced a bedpan from her trolley. She looked at him sympathetically. "We get a lot of emetics here. It's okay. Do you need anything else?" "Actually, I, uh, I want

The Cunning Plan
You have got to be joking a joy buzzer? The derision was clear in Shegos voice as she stared at the metal disk with the pin sticking out. It looked hollow and she wasnt sure why.
Yes a joy buzzer, but this one is different. I had DNAmy mix me up a special virus just for Kim Possible. All you have to do is hit her with it and my plan will be complete. And here is a second one in case the first one fails. This will be my best plan ever! shouted Drakken, arms raised joyously. I owe it all to

"Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms."
